Carversville Historic District

The addition to this historic home in Carversville, Solebury Township, includes a kitchen and sitting room on the first floor and a master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The new addition was closely scrutinized and approved by the township’s Historic and Architectural Review Board. The windows on the front façade are discreet openings with shutters to match the existing, and larger windows on the rear overlook the Paunacussing Creek. The exterior stone wall of the original house is exposed in both the sitting room and the bedroom above, and the new rooms are comfortably in scale with the original house.
